How Remote Support Works

Step-by-step: SOS session

Not sure how to get started? Here's exactly what to expect during an emergency remote support session.

🖥️ On Windows

  1. Call or email Klearlogic to let us know you're starting a session: support@klearlogic.com
  2. Click the SOS link above — a small file will download automatically.
  3. Open the downloaded file. Windows may ask for permission — click Yes or Run.
  4. You'll see a 9-digit session code. Read it to us over the phone or paste it in email/chat.
  5. We connect — you'll see our cursor moving on your screen. You can take back control at any time by moving your mouse.
  6. When we're done, simply close the app. Nothing is permanently installed.

🍎 On Mac

  1. Call or email Klearlogic first: support@klearlogic.com
  2. Click the SOS link above. A .dmg file will download.
  3. Open the .dmg and run the Splashtop SOS app inside.
  4. macOS may show a security warning. Go to System Preferences → Privacy & Security and allow the app to run.
  5. You may also need to grant Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions in Privacy settings.
  6. Share your 9-digit code with us. We'll connect and you can watch everything we do.
